IMT Lucca is a graduate research institution that is highly committed to attracting talented scholars on a competitive, international basis. Through its Young Research Fellow Program, IMT seeks to appoint Assistant Professors and Post-Doctoral Fellows in the research area of Economics and Institutional Analysis (EIA). IMT invites applications from strong candidates in any field of specialization from researchers who have recently completed or are near completion of the Ph.D. degree in Economics, Law and economics, or a related preferably applied discipline.
Assistant Professors are appointed for a fixed term of up to three years. Contracts may be renewed once for up to six years. Benefits include flexibility, both intellectually and with respect to time commitments, an attractive salary (45,000-60,000 pre-tax) along with special tax breaks, and research funds. In addition, housing and meal plans will be negotiated with select candidates.
Post-doctoral Fellows are appointed for a fixed term of up to two years. Contracts may be renewed once for up to four years. Benefits include flexibility, both intellectually and with respect to time commitments, an attractive salary (30,000-45,000 pre-tax) along with special tax breaks, and research funds. In addition, housing and meal plans will be negotiated with select candidates.
Successful candidates for either type of position will work closely with other young researchers, graduate students, and senior researchers, and will have a limited teaching load in the schools graduate program (one class per year).
